Faculty Spotlight: Rachelle Casinto
Column 1 content

Our Mammography Certificate instructor is Rachelle C. Casinto, R.T. (R)(F)(M), CRT(R)(M). Ms. Casinto started her education in Radiologic Technology in the Philippines, where she completed an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology and passed the board exam for X-ray Technology. She moved to the United States in 2000 and continued her studies to become a board-certified Radiologic Technologist in 2003. Rachelle graduated with an AS in Radiologic Technology at Los Angeles City College. That same year, Ms. Casinto achieved her certification in Mammography and started working full-time at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in September 2003. From 2003 up to now, she has been a dedicated Mammography Technologist. She enjoys teaching the students that rotate in the clinic about breast positioning, breast anatomy, pathologies, and X-ray theory.
She hopes that after the class, the student will have a full understanding of why you must care about what you do, NOT because what you do is a must...
